Joseph Linder, a native of Austria, is a true sommelier in that he loves to share his passion for wine with guests and friends, and guests usually become friends after they experience Joseph's down to earth manner. He loves to explore the endless world that is wine.

Joseph’s 30 year love affair with wine has taken him to the Ritz in London, Chef Joel Robuchon’s “Les Celebritées,” the Hotel Nikko Paris, Le Bernardin, and Restaurant Daniel in New York. Joseph is of the few Master Sommeliers in the United States and in the world.

“Wine tends to be a little intimidating to people, but it doesn’t have to be. I want people to feel comfortable asking questions and even trying something they haven’t tried before. And some of the best wines are not necessarily the most expensive. I feel very privileged to have had this chance to experience the years of testing, the studying, dedication, passion, the "mad" intensity and commitment that was needed to succeed in earning the diploma … to become a Master Sommelier.” Joseph was named Master Sommelier in early 2008.

Joseph currently oversees the wine program at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle, the only Five-Diamond Hotel in the Pacific Northwest
