The Court of Master Sommeliers is a four-level education program consisting of 4 exams and 2 courses. The process begins with the Introductory Sommelier Course and Examination and ends with the Master Sommelier Diploma Examination.
Exams
The Court of Master Sommeliers offers four examination levels, which must be passed in sequence. Everyone pursuing the sommelier journey must begin with the Introductory Sommelier Course and Examination.
Courses
The Introductory and Advanced Sommelier Courses must first be completed prior to taking their requisite Sommelier Examinations. The Deductive Tasting Workshop is an optional course that walks you through the deductive tasting method.
