Emily’s career in wine began just out of college, when a burgeoning interest in wine led her to working at Gramercy Tavern in New York City. For the past 20 years, she has held various sales & marketing roles in the wine industry, working for importers, distributors, and California wineries.
Emily has worked for Jackson Family Wines since 2014. She is currently Vice President and leads Jackson Family’s field marketing team, developing and implementing marketing and sales campaigns across the country.
Her passion for learning about wine encouraged her to embark upon the Master Sommelier diploma– in 2009, she enrolled in the Court of Master Sommelier Introductory course. In 2010, she passed the Advanced Exam on her first attempt and was awarded the Rudd Scholarship for the highest score at that exam. She passed the Master Sommelier diploma in 2013 and was the 19th woman in the world to earn the title. In addition, Emily has a Diploma from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and a BA in Literature from the University of Virginia.
