Emily Wines brings an infectious vibrancy to the world of wine — equal parts expert and enthusiast, tradition and twist. A Master Sommelier with a gift for storytelling, Emily is known for translating the complex world of wine into something engaging, inclusive, and refreshingly approachable. Her style is confident yet down-to-earth, making wine feel less like a secret society and more like an open invitation.

At Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, Emily leads innovation with purpose. She cultivates memorable experiences for the brand’s 750,000+ Wine Club members, develops immersive education programs, and mentors the next generation of wine professionals. As the bridge between restaurants and corporate strategy, she curates lifestyle-driven adventures that go far beyond the glass — blending wine, culture, and community.

Emily is one of just 149 individuals in the Americas to earn the title of Master Sommelier — and one of only two women ever to receive the Remi Krug Cup for passing all three exam sections (theory, practical, blind tasting) on the first attempt. From 2021 to 2023, she served as Chair of the Board for the Court of Master Sommeliers, where she championed transparency, inclusion, and meaningful reform within the organization.

A sought-after speaker and media personality, Emily is as comfortable on camera as she is on stage, captivating audiences with her expertise and warmth. In 2024, she brought her signature style to MasterClass, launching a course designed to build confidence and curiosity in wine lovers everywhere.

Prior to Cooper’s Hawk, Emily was General Manager of Skipstone Winery and served as Senior Director of Beverage for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, where she oversaw wine and spirits programs across 65 restaurants nationwide. She began her career at San Francisco’s acclaimed Fifth Floor — where the wine program earned Wine Spectator’s Grand Award and a James Beard nomination for Outstanding Wine Service.
